July 4th there will be no beginner class or open fencing during the holiday.

There will be no Saturday beginner class for July, but this class will resume at 11am on Saturdays in August.

Classes and Open Fencing will occur tonight 3/17. The roads in West Asheville are fine but please use your best judgement if you live in an area where there is still icing.

P.S. Wear your green fencing jacket. It’s St. Patrick’s day.

Classes and Open Fencing will be held as normal today and tomorrow (Tuesday and Wednesday 2/3 and 2/4) Streets near the club are looking very passable.

However we realize that some people in other areas will decide not to make it in for practice. Use your best judgement! If anyone misses a beginner class we will find a way to bring them up to speed at the next class.

 Unfortunately we expect snow for tomorrow and will not have class, open fencing or any lessons for tomorrow, Saturday January 31st.  We will resume Saturdays when weather permits, likely next week, and we expect weekday classes to meet as usual this week.

Due to the Ice storm warning, class and open fencing (as well as any lessons) are cancelled for Saturday January 24th 2026.

Saturday 11/22 – No Class or Open Fencing

Tuesday, 11/25 – Light Practice (games and bouts) at 6:30 and Open Fencing at 7:30

Wednesday 11/26 – Light Practice (games and bouts) at 6:30 and Open Fencing at 7:30

Thursday 11/27 – No Class or Open Fencing

Saturday 11/29 – No Class or Open Fencing

We have to cancel our 11am Saturday September 6th class and Open Fencing session. We will resume Saturday classes on September 13th. If you were planning to come to practice that day please choose another time from our fall schedule: https://fencingclubasheville.com/2025-fall-schedule/

We still have spots left in our Beginner classes meeting Tuesday, September 2nd at 6:30pm, Wednesday, September 3rd at 6:30pm, and Saturday, September 6th at 11am

We have 5-6 spaces in our lot, extra parking at 441 N Louisiana Plaza, two doors uphill from 457B. Please leave a few spaces open for the business we share our parking lot with!
