Beginner Class starts this week

Our next beginner class starts this Wed, March 1st.  I believe we will have room to start a few more new fencers.  Drop us an email if you haven’t already and are interested in attending.

Next chance to start fencing will be the first Wed in May, May 3rd.

SABRE GROUP KICKOFF NIGHT! – 2/1 at 8pm-10pm

SABRE GROUP KICKOFF NIGHT! – Wed February 1st at 8pm.  I believe we’ve got 4-5 somewhat experienced Sabre fencers coming in on this date.   If you are an experienced Sabre fencer and want to have other Sabrists to fence in WNC on Wed night, please make it to practice on Feb 1st.

If you have questions or your equipment hasn’t caught up with you yet, please give Bren a call at 301-537-0211 and we’ll try to sort everything out.

Let’s get a Sabre Group together

If you are a Sabre Fencer in the greater Asheville area looking for a club (including the person who dropped into practice last night) please reach out to me at FencingClubAsheville@gmail.com if you haven’t already. We have 3-4 people who could form a group of sabre fencers, but we need to get them all at the same practice to get critical mass.

Classes Resume today, Jan 4th

We’re back today at 7pm, Get ready to fence!

Today will also be the start of our next beginner class.  After today, the next chance for beginners to start fencing with us will be Wednseday, March 1st.

Holiday Schedule

The club will NOT hold practice on December 21st or 28th. Last practice of 2016 will be on 12/14. Then we’ll resume in 2017 on Wed January 4th.

What Happens Next – September Fencers

Attention Fencers who started in September and your parents. Next Wed, November 16th, between 8:30 and 8:45pm we will have a short discussion and Q&A about “What happens next” after our the 8 week class sequence just completed.

Enrollment Confirmation Required for November Classes

Hi Potential New Fencers,

Due to the larger than normal group we had start fencing with us in September, we are capping enrollment for the Beginner Class starting November 2nd.

If you are sure you’re ready to start fencing with us in November, please send us an email at FencingClubAsheville@gmail.com

After our spots fill up, I will ask people to delay their start until the January class.  If you do not email me before showing up to class, I may turn you away on November 2nd.  (If we already emailed, you should be good to go.)

Our first class is always free to try and no obligation, but we’re asking that you be seriously considering starting an 8 week class with us before confirming enrollment.

We’ve stlll got spots open for now though, so let me know if you’re interested and ready to start Nov 2nd.
